The Marshalltown Pubic Library now has the option to book a community meeting room or study room online. Patrons who are interested in this option should go to www.marshalltownlibrary.org and click “meeting rooms” a the top of the page.

Those who are interested in using the library meeting or study rooms have the option to book a room by room type or by date. The online calendar will let you know if a room is available during your requested time and will ask that you fill out a request form. all requests must be approved by library staff before your group can get on the calendar. Interested persons will receive a confirmation email or phone call letting them know whether staff have approved or rejected their request.

The library’s community meeting rooms may be used by non-profit groups, political committees, and governmental organizations and may be booked once per month. The study rooms may be used by the same groups along with study groups and businesses, provided that no sales, solicitation for further sales, or fee-based services are conducted. Study rooms may be booked by organizations or individuals once per week.
