The Jasper County Conservation Board has announced a new program that’s designed to help provide expanded tours of county parks.

Through a group of dedicated volunteers and generous donors, the conservation board was able to purchase a UTV to be used to provide tours of parks throughout the county.

The intent is to give the park experience to those with mobility issues who otherwise may not be able to partake in a long hike along the park trail system.

The tours will begin at the Uhlenhopp Arboretum on June 8th.

The tours are an hour long and can accommodate up to five people.

To reserve as spot on the tour, you can contact the conservation board office at (641) 792-9780.
