Yield expectations are deteriorating in parts of west-central Minnesota.

Swift County corn and soybean grower Patrick O’Leary says crops showed more promise a few weeks ago.

“Watching what the crop’s done over the last month as it’s maturing, I think at best we have an average crop (but) I don’t know if I can even anticipate that.”

He tells Brownfield a wet spring delayed planting by a month.
