There was a light to moderate trade that took place this week. Live deals in the South were marked at $186, $2 lower than the previous week’s business.  Dressed business in the North ranged from $299 to $300, $2 to $3 lower than the prior week’s weighted average basis. 

Boxed beef is mixed at midday with light to moderate demand for solid offerings.  Choice is $1.79 lower at $306.57 and Select is $1.97 higher at $303.14.  The Choice/Select spread is $3.43. 

At the Mobridge Livestock Auction in South Dakota Thursday, there was no price trend available.
