Monday night, through the storms, the Marshalltown Community School District School Board met. They ended up sheltering in the basement during the meeting due to the storms.
That is Superintendent of Schools Dr. Theron Schutte. He then talks about some of the recognitions that took place before they went to the basement. The XLP Teacher from Miller Middle School, Ann Jackson, brought students for National History Day. These students received state or national recognition as well.
Dr. Schutte says those student got to perform on the Ford Theaters stage in Washington DC. May is also graduation time, and the School Board also gave praise to the students who have gone above and beyond their high school diploma.
Graduation for Marshalltown High School Seniors will take place May 31st at the Marshalltown High School.
