The 13th Street District will be hosting our annual Car Cruise-In featuring special musical guest Damon Dotson! Since this event fills up fast, we have even extended the staging areas up into the Iowa Veterans Home (IVH) so everyone in our community and at IVH enjoy!!
This is a free family-friendly event with classic cars on display, timeless tunes by CatTrax Productions, food trucks for good eats, and cold beverages for sale courtesy of the 13th Street District from 5pm to 7:30pm on N. 13th St and up in the Iowa Veterans Home parking lot right past the Memorials. Make plans to hang out with us after the Cruise-In at West End Park for an outdoor concert by Damon Dotson from 7:00-10:00 PM! The food trucks and cold beverages will be available to purchase during the show too!

Classic cars will be lined up on 13th Street and guided up into the Iowa Veterans Home grounds- Cruise-in between 4:30- 5:00 PM to display your sweet ride! Shined up cars, trucks, and bikes welcome! No pre-registration; just cruise on in on north at Summit Rd or from State St. cruisers arriving from Summit Street should park on the west side of 13th Street. Cruisers coming from the south should park on the east side of 13th Street. Our community welcomes you- local or just passing through- bring your favorite hot rod you are proud of!
Planning on heading to Good Guys that weekend? Make plans to shine up your hot rods and classic vehicles a day early and make our Cruise-In before you head that way for the weekend so the soldiers at the Iowa Veterans Home can enjoy it too! The 13th Street District, started in 2007 and became a 501(c)3 organization in 2018, is made up of an all-volunteer board. The mission of the organization is to increase community pride by hosting family friendly events and working with other organizations to enhance the area for the neighborhood.
